Beef Burgers

Beef Burgers

 Serves 4

Ingredients :

For the Burger Mustard Sauce:

  • 30 g mayonnaise 
  • 30 g full fat natural yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp Grey Poupon Dijon mustard 
  • 1 garlic clove, minced 
  • 5 g chives, chopped 
  • ¼ tsp sweet paprika 

For the burgers:

  • 2 small shallots, finely chopped
  • 500 g mince beef
  • 1 tbsp Grey Poupon Wholegrain mustard 
  • 1 egg, beaten 
  • Salt, Pepper to season 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 4 slices mature Cheddar (optional)

To assemble:

  • 4 burger brioche buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • ½ small cucumber, slices 
  • ½ red onion, sliced 
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 gherkins

Method:

  1. Mix the mayonnaise, natural yoghurt, Grey Poupon Dijon mustard, Grey Poupon Wholegrain mustard, garlic clove, chives and sweet paprika in a small bowl. Cover and place in the fridge.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the burger ingredients. Season with salt and black pepper and shape into 4 patties. 
  3. Light a grill or preheat a griddle with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes on each side. While the second side is cooking, top each pattie with a slice of Cheddar cheese, cover and cook until the cheese is melted. 
  4. Toast the brioche buns and spread the mustard sauce generously over the base of each bun. 
  5. Add the lettuce, cucumber, then the burger, red onion, tomato, the other half of the bun and top with extra burger sauce. 
  6. Serve with gherkins and an extra bowl of Grey Poupon mustard sauce on the side.
