Beef Burgers
Serves 4
Ingredients :
For the Burger Mustard Sauce:
- 30 g mayonnaise
- 30 g full fat natural yoghurt
- 2 tbsp Grey Poupon Dijon mustard
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 5 g chives, chopped
- ¼ tsp sweet paprika
For the burgers:
- 2 small shallots, finely chopped
- 500 g mince beef
- 1 tbsp Grey Poupon Wholegrain mustard
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt, Pepper to season
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 slices mature Cheddar (optional)
To assemble:
- 4 burger brioche buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- ½ small cucumber, slices
- ½ red onion, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 4 gherkins
Method:
- Mix the mayonnaise, natural yoghurt, Grey Poupon Dijon mustard, Grey Poupon Wholegrain mustard, garlic clove, chives and sweet paprika in a small bowl. Cover and place in the fridge.
- In a large bowl, combine all the burger ingredients. Season with salt and black pepper and shape into 4 patties.
- Light a grill or preheat a griddle with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes on each side. While the second side is cooking, top each pattie with a slice of Cheddar cheese, cover and cook until the cheese is melted.
- Toast the brioche buns and spread the mustard sauce generously over the base of each bun.
- Add the lettuce, cucumber, then the burger, red onion, tomato, the other half of the bun and top with extra burger sauce.
- Serve with gherkins and an extra bowl of Grey Poupon mustard sauce on the side.
