Ingredients :

For the Burger Mustard Sauce:

  • 30 g mayonnaise 
  • 30 g full fat natural yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp Grey Poupon Dijon mustard 
  • 1 garlic clove, minced 
  • 5 g chives, chopped 
  • ¼ tsp sweet paprika 

For the burgers:

  • 2 small shallots, finely chopped
  • 500 g mince beef
  • 1 tbsp Grey Poupon Wholegrain mustard 
  • 1 egg, beaten 
  • Salt, Pepper to season 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 4 slices mature Cheddar (optional)

To assemble:

  • 4 burger brioche buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • ½ small cucumber, slices 
  • ½ red onion, sliced 
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 gherkins

Method:

  • Mix the mayonnaise, natural yoghurt, Grey Poupon Dijon mustard, Grey Poupon Wholegrain mustard, garlic clove, chives and sweet paprika in a small bowl. Cover and place in the fridge.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the burger ingredients. Season with salt and black pepper and shape into 4 patties. 
  • Light a grill or preheat a griddle with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes on each side. While the second side is cooking, top each pattie with a slice of Cheddar cheese, cover and cook until the cheese is melted. 
  • Toast the brioche buns and spread the mustard sauce generously over the base of each bun. 
  • Add the lettuce, cucumber, then the burger, red onion, tomato, the other half of the bun and top with extra burger sauce. 
  • Serve with gherkins and an extra bowl of Grey Poupon mustard sauce on the side.
